As founder and producer of World Voices Festival and Musical Director of Next Stage Choir, I bring that experience into projects that connect singers, develop talent and create extraordinary opportunities to perform. As a conductor, musical director, producer and singer, my work spans classical music, musical theatre and film. From the Berlin Philharmonie to Abbey Road Studios, I’ve spent my career helping artists and ensembles deliver performances with character, confidence and heart.
I am still doing the work I love at the highest level: conducting, recording, producing and developing talent. My coaching is informed by a living, working career in music — and a conviction that the right guidance can change what someone believes is possible.

As a musical director, I bring performers together around a clear musical vision — shaping the detail, developing the ensemble and helping a performance find its emotional force.
As a producer, I turn ambitious ideas into opportunities. My work includes Godspell in Concert in the West End and on UK tour, and the creation of World Voices Festival. Through The Russell Scott Organisation, I continue to develop concerts, collaborations and projects that give exceptional music and emerging talent a platform.

I have never had a student I have prepared for drama school fail to secure a place. My students have gone on to perform in major West End shows, and I bring that same personal commitment to every singer I work with.
This is about more than singing the right notes. We work on technique, repertoire, acting through song, musical choices and the confidence to communicate. You receive honest feedback, a clear plan and guidance shaped around your voice and your goals.

From a record-breaking musical childhood to some of the world’s great concert halls, music has never been just a profession. It is my life’s work.
What matters most is what that experience makes possible for others: a young performer finding their voice, a choir discovering a new sound, or an ensemble stepping onto a stage they never imagined they could reach.
Explore my career
By the age of nine, I had recorded two LPs and sold over 100,000 copies. Since then, my career has taken me through classical music, opera, musical theatre, film and live entertainment — as a singer, conductor, musical director and producer.
I have sung with London Voices, the English Concert and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, performed at the BBC Proms, and contributed vocals to film soundtracks including Pirates of the Caribbean, Shrek and Troy. My work has included artists such as Sir Elton John and Il Divo.
On the podium, I have led orchestras at the Berlin Philharmonie, Vancouver’s Chan Centre and the Royal Academy of Music. In the studio, I have worked on recordings at Abbey Road and Angel Studios. As a producer, I brought Godspell in Concert to London’s West End and a subsequent UK tour.
